NOTES:
For the concepts where no CMP book is used, we will be working with handouts, the Glencoe book and general “notes from the board”.
Math concepts are overlapping. For example, similarity is the focus of Stretching & Shrinking but is also used in Filling & Wrapping, the Geometry unit & Comparing & Scaling. Because of this it is very important that you be prepared everyday with the appropriate materials for class, pay attention & ask questions when confused. Many of the concepts this year are challenging and being successful will rely greatly on your willingness to put only your very best effort forward.
If you come unprepared, the necessary material/information needed for homework & studying will be unavailable to you. The notes/discussions/investigations are essential to understanding the concepts this year & next, and are therefore essential for success.
