the day you return.

Grading
· Student evaluations will be based on a variety of formal & informal assessments. These will
include, but not be limited to, tests, quizzes, class discussions & problems of the week.
· All tests & quizzes (formal assessments) will be sent home for a parent/guardian signature
regardless of the grade. This is so parents are aware of how their child is doing on a regular
basis so there are no surprises come report card time. These must be returned & will be put into
student’s binder to study from and for use during conferences.
· All classes will have a quiz or test at least every 2 weeks. If 2 weeks pass &
parents/guardians do not see a quiz or test come home, ask – your child should have
one.
· Unit tests will always be announced at least 1 week in advance. Quizzes may be announced
or unannounced.
· Homework & notebook checks will count toward learner quality grades.
