Home Reading - Response to Literature

All students must respond to their independent reading using the formats listed below.  These responses are due approximately every two weeks.  The trimester schedule is below:

Note: Students may turn in quote sandwiches BEFORE  the due date.  Students may revise their work as many times as they like-however, I do require that students revise assignments below meeting expectation at least 3 times.  Also, should a student struggle with this writing assignment, they may email to me their work for my suggestions, come for extra help at lunch, or come for extra help after school.

Independent reading log sheets , Quote Sandwich organizerpdf Quote Sandwich (Word) Quote Sandwich Exemplar can also be downloaded here for home.  Completing these sheets in a timely manner will help you to keep better track of your reading:) Books should be annotated at home and brought to school to be placed in reading folder.

(Note: I will try to revise this page as I assign new writing pieces or projects. In addition, I will keep older assignments on the page for at least one month. If there is nothing new here, it simply means that you should be doing your nightly reading and continuing your in-class assignments. PARENTS: Many students will take their in-class assignments home to work on. This is fine, but please remind them to bring them to school on a daily basis. Thank you.
