Grading

·        Student evaluations will be based on a variety of formal & informal assessments.  These will

      include, but not be limited to, tests, quizzes, class discussions & problems of the week.

·        All tests & quizzes (formal assessments) will be sent home for a parent/guardian signature

      regardless of the grade.  This is so parents are aware of how their child is doing on a regular  

      basis so there are no surprises come report card time.  These must be returned & will be put

      into the student's binder to study from and for use during conferences.

·        All classes will have a quiz or test at least every 2 weeks.  If  2 weeks  pass &

       parents/guardians do not see a quiz or test come home, ask – your child should have

      one.

·        Unit tests will always be announced at least 1 week in advance.  Quizzes may be announced

      or unannounced.

·        Homework will count toward learner quality grades.
