I began teaching in 1997, and have been here at the middle school all that time.  I love it!  I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Rhode Island, and later, a Master’s in Teaching English from Rhode Island College.  In 2001, I successfully obtained National Board Certification in Early Adolescence English Language Arts.  Currently, I serve on the school’s Literacy team, having taken part in numerous literacy walks over the past two years.  This semester, I am teaching a graduate class at Rhode Island College for teachers seeking middle school endorsement.  I welcome questions and encourage you to e-mail me at ballardcynthia@coventryschools.net.
