I have been teaching in Coventry for twelve years, the first four years as a Special Educator and the remainder as a math teacher. While Mrs. Lawrence in on maternity leave, I have been given the great opportunity to cover for her until she returns. I have recently finished my student teaching experience for my Master's degree here at Feinstein Middle School, so I am pleased to continue my experience here. The unit test for Linear
Relationships will be on:
Thursday and Friday
- June 10 & 11th.
The students need to study
all of their notes that have to do with graphs, tables, and equations.
They need to study about slope, y-intercept, and linear/non-linear
relationships.

POW "Enlarging the Picture" has been handed out today in most classes. C period will be given the POW tomorrow. All POWs will
be due after vacation, April 26th Monday.
Journal entries will due this week for all classes on Wednesday, except C period, which will be due on Thursday.
Student's check for understanding on linear relationships and graphs were either today or tomorrow.
The next quizzes are scheduled for April 27th and May 10th and the Unit Test is scheduled is on May 20th and 21st

Students are able to receive extra help (POW's, journal responses, studying, etc) every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning during Skills homeroom - homeroom is extended during this days so that students are able to seek the team teachers for anything they need help w. I can usually help students during lunch on Monday and Tuesdays as well. It is helpful for the students to hand in their POW's and journal entries a couple of days early so that I can look them over and let them know if they can do anything to improve (before I grade them).

Study guides for the unit test have been sent home. Make sure your child completes these to the best of their ability and comes in prepared with questions. I would like to clear up any misconceptions prior to the Unit Test!
