I have been teaching at Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School of Coventry for 11 year. I have taught in the Self-contained class for behaviorally challenged, as well as direct instruction. I am currently co-teaching in all content classes.
I have a BS in Elementary Ed. 1-6, Special Education K-12 and an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling K-12

"Just because something is difficult, doesn't mean you shouldn't try. It means you should just try harder." This saying has been posted on my wall for quite a few years now. Very often I heard people talk about children with special needs and unique learning styles having to do less in the regular classroom. This is not the case. In fact most students have to work harder and utilize more tools and scaffolds provided in order to work at rates comparable to their peers.
With teachers, parents and students all working to achieve the same goal, which is to have students become self-directed learners, students will not only be prepared for high school but for life.

The Pegasus Team is a looping team. This means that the same group of students will be with us through 7th and 8th grade. We all truly believe that our students will amount to greatness! We look forward to watching the children grow over the next two years.
Our team heterogeneously groups our students. Students of all different abilities are working together in the same classroom on the same content information.
