Finally! We are back outside!!!

Outdoor Games

Get ready for a great experience outdoors!  Students are able to participate in a variety of modified team sports such as ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, fort knox, hand ball, speed ball and the gauntlet to name a few.  These classes will incorporate different lead-up activities such as ice breakers, cooperative games, team problem solving and tag warm-ups for a heart pumping exciting adventure in PE.

Track and Field

Run fast and turn left!  Track and field has a wide variety of events to offer.  Students are taught the fundamental movements needed to participate in a variety of track and field events. Students will warm up by participating in drills and plyometrics at the start of every class.  Students will be introduced to the hurdles, high jump, shot put, discuss, and the long and triple jump.  They will also learn the proper way to start a sprint race in blocks with cues on your mark, set.....GO!  Students will be taught how to run a 4X100m relay and will learn the correct way to collect and hand off a baton.  This class is a great way to become familiar with this age old Olympic sport.  Track and Field would be a great class to be a part of if a student is interested in trying out for track and field when they enter the high school!
