This year Music Appreciation students will be reading/identifying musical
notation and performing music on guitar.
All Music Appreciation students
are required to have a folder for this trimester class. Students are also required to bring a pencil and eraser to every class.

Last year students read and wrote standard notation and applied these skills to playing keyboards. Students performed a variety of songs on keyboards and developed a vocabulary of musical terms.

During the
2009-2010 school year, “Music Appreciation” students studied the history of “Rock-n-Roll” music including it’s musical
roots, early influences, defining moments and the evolution of this genre.
