Remember to do "agenda checks" at home with your child. Students should be filling each box out each day and taking it out each night to complete homework. There is a huge correlation between homework completion and success in class the next day. Thank you to all who are helping with this already!

Originally, the name Canis Major referred only to Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. It represented one of Orion's dogs. The Egyptians celebrated the Dog Star's rising with the Sun as the beginning of the year as it occurred with the annual flooding of the Nile.
