Daily homework is not posted online as it varies from class to class. Please check your child's agenda regularly for homework assignments. If homework is not being completed your child will be required to have their agenda signed. If that isn't returned I will contact you directly either via email or call.

If at any time you would like an update, please email me. Work will not be sent home, however, it can be taken home upon request. It should be returned after review to the portfolio.

READING REQUIREMENT:

In order to meet the 25 book requirement students will have to complete  reading assignments throughout the year.

Credit will be given for books read during Literacy, in English class, summer reading, and any books read aloud to them in school, for example, Literature Workshop and Teen Issues.

Depending on which class your child is in the first one is due either October 15th or October 22nd and every other week.

Due dates will be provided and posted on the school website at the beginning of each trimester.

LATE WORK POLICY

Homework is assigned regularly and is expected to be done on time as often it will be part of the lesson. Daily homework does not effect a student’s grade, however, it does impact self-directed learner quality.

Reading assignments are not accepted late.

If a student is unexpectedly absent on the day a reading assignment is due, the assignment should be emailed on the due date or brought in with a friend or sibling. It can also be left in the main office.

If the absence is known prior to an assignment being due, for example, a family vacation, it should be handed in prior to the student leaving or emailed on or before the due date.
