Weekly Update: January 28, 2011
Students have begun to examine how civilizations developed and how they were organized. We will soon begin our examination of civilizations that arose in the area of Mesopotamia. Students have really been working on developing their bank of vocabulary words. Ask your child if they've become a "word wizard." Students will gain extra points for their group if they bring in a newspaper article or any other text that includes one of their vocabulary words.
Please check with your child to see if he or she needs a new binder, lined paper, or pencils. By this point in the school year items seem to disappear or they are broken.
