Students who earn three "meets" expectations in a row, may select an alternate response (free choice) to literature for any subsequent independent reading response to literature on independent reading. For students who meet the above requirement and turn in all assignments on time, the may drop the 6th assignment for the trimester.
Quote Sandwich Tri 3 due dates
There are 6 independent responses to literature(quote sandwiches) due each trimester. Students are expected to revise these during the two week interim between QS due dates. After that students may continue to revise until a week prior to the trimester closing, should they choose. Once a student has earned 3 “meets” or “exceeds” on 3 consecutive quote sandwiches, they may have a free choice for subsequent responses. Each student who earns 3 “meets” or “exceeds” on 3 consecutive quote sandwiches and who has turned in all work on time, he/she earns a "pass" on the last (6th) response to literature.
