Soccer Team Tryout Schedule

Feinstein MS Soccer 2008-09

Tryouts will begin Thursday, August 28th for all students, boys and girls, interested in being part of this year’s team. The team is co-ed, and plays in the boys division. Tryouts will probably run through Friday 9/4, and players are required to attend all applicable sessions. There will be a series of cuts, the number of which dependent on how many students come to try out. Players are expected to have a ride home at the conclusion of practice.

All students who wish to attend tryouts must have the following before they will be permitted to practice (all forms can be picked up from myself or downloaded from the school web site):

Signed and notarized Assumption of Risk Form
Signed Athlete’s Participation Pledge
Completed Permission to Participate/Physical Exam Form
- In order to participate in interscholastic athletics, athletes must have a physical that pronounces them “physically fit for athletic participation”, dated after August 1, 2008. Students who do not have a current physical will not be allowed to practice.
- The school is planning to provide a doctor on Friday 8/29, for those students unable to get a physical their own. The doctor will be available to give physicals at the school following the school day. Students then can report to practice.
Shin Guards
All students bring their own water jug to tryouts. There are too many participants to provide individual drinking containers for all players.
