1. National History Day Project – Yearly Assessment Proposal: Possibly a tiered assessment with Webb’s Depth of Knowledge?
2. Yearly Exhibition – Reaching out to families? Whether it is NHD or another dedicated assessment that works to bring families in to showcase student work.
3. Student Portfolios: Based on the Grade-Span Essential Thematic Questions – Students compile work that shows mastery of their understanding of the questions.
4. How do we figure out what questions should be answered on projects for 6-8? – Gradual release? What should they know for each grade?
5. What skills need to be addressed at each grade level?
6. Defining Essential Questions: Do we need to know what it means to “master” the questions? – Next Dept. Meeting Focus
